FILIPINO NATIONALS

Passport Validity

• Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

 

eTravel Registration

• Arrival in the Philippines: Required.

• Departure from the Philippines: Required.

 

Residence Permit (Spain)

• If you are renewing your residence card and have an Autorización de Regreso, you cannot transit in any Schengen country. Choose a flight with no European layovers.

 

Temporary Residents

• OFWs: Apply for your OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) at least 1 month before your flight.

• Travel Tax: Required for temporary dependent residents (comunitario temporal) or Schengen visa holders upon departure from the Philippines (₱1,620).

  • Exempted passengers include:

    • Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)

    • Permanent residents abroad staying less than 1 year in the Philippines

    • Infants (2 years and below)

    • Foreign tourists staying less than 1 year

 

Permanent Residents (Larga Duración / Comunitario)

• OEC not required.

 

FOREIGN NATIONALS

Passport Validity

• Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates.

 

eTravel Registration

• Arrival in the Philippines: Required.

• Departure: Not required.

Visa Policy

• Nationals under Executive Order 408 can stay visa-free for up to 30 days.

• For longer stays, apply for a Philippine visa before your flight at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid.

 

FORMER FILIPINOS (BALIKBAYAN PRIVILEGE)

Eligibility

• Former Filipinos (not dual citizens) and their foreign spouse or children traveling together.

 

Stay Duration

• Visa-free for up to 1 year.

 

Requirements

• Foreign passport valid for at least 6 months.

• Old/expired Philippine passport or Philippine birth certificate.

• Marriage certificate (for spouse) or birth certificate (for children).

 

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE YOUR FLIGHT?

We will prepare all your pre-departure documents such as etravel registration and online check in, and once everything is ready, you will receive the following by email:

• Updated E-Ticket

  • Airlines sometimes make minor schedule changes; you’ll receive the latest e-ticket

• eTravel QR code

  • Arrival in the Philippines: Filipino and foreign nationals.

  • Departure from the Philippines: Filipino nationals only. 

  • Save it in your phone so you can access without 

• Online Check-In Confirmation

  • Opens 24 hours before departure.

  • Seat selection is free for some airlines during online check in and some charge a feee that ranges 60-100€  depending on airline. 

  • If you prefer not to pay, we will check you in with free, pre-assigned seats by the airline.

  • If your flight involves two different airlines, online check-in might not be available — please check in at the airport.

  • If online check-in is not available due to airline restrictions or other factors beyond our control, please collect your boarding pass directly at the airport check-in counter.

  • Philippine airports (Manila, Cebu, Clark, Davao) do not support digital boarding passes due to additional immigration checks. You’ll be issued a printed boarding pass at the check-in counter.
