In 2020, in the middle of the global pandemic, Allan and Jenny founded Kara Tours as an online travel company specializing in the Philippines.
By building strong relationships with Filipinos living in Spain, we gained valuable experience helping them travel during one of the most challenging times in modern history for tourism (COVID-19).
Our mission has always been clear: to provide exceptional service, accompanying our clients every step of the way so they can enjoy a seamless and unforgettable travel experience.
We create tailor-made itineraries based on each traveler’s needs and preferences. With a team of highly qualified and dedicated travel agents, Kara Tours guarantees professional, high-quality travel services at the best possible value.
On 28 February 2025, we proudly opened our physical office, marking a new chapter in our growth. Today, we no longer focus solely on the Philippines, we now design customized trips to a wide range of destinations, always keeping personalization, care, and service excellence at the heart of what we do.
JENNIFER NANAYAKKARA
CEO AND FOUNDER
Meet Jennifer, co-founder and driving force behind Kara Tours. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.

Born in Spain and having moved to the Philippines at the age of thirteen, Jennifer grew up between two cultures. This unique background, along with her fluency in English, Spanish, and Filipino, naturally nurtured her love for travel and became the foundation for Kara Tours.

With years of experience in both the tourism and real estate sectors, Jennifer has developed strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills. At Kara Tours, she leads overall business operations, marketing, and sales, ensuring that every client enjoys a smooth, professional, and truly enriching travel experience.
ALLAN PUNCION
COO AND CO-FOUNDER
A graduate in Maritime Transport from John B. Lacson University in Iloilo, Philippines, Allan built his career at sea, traveling to numerous countries and developing a deep passion for exploring the world.

Fluent in English, Spanish, Filipino, and Ilonggo, Allan connects naturally with the Filipino community in Spain.
As co-founder of Kara Tours, he plays a key role in overseeing our ticketing services, with a special focus on Filipinos residing in Spain. With a clear understanding of their unique needs and challenges, Allan is committed to providing smooth, efficient, and hassle-free flight bookings.

Drawing on years of experience in the hospitality industry and his strong grasp of the Filipino market, Allan ensures that every client receives personalized, reliable support—from booking flights to coordinating travel details—so they can travel with ease and confidence.
JESSICA NANAYAKKARA

Jessica is a graduate in Travel Agency Management from AEMATUR in Marbella, Spain.

As Jennifer’s sister, she also moved to the Philippines, where both deepened their connection to Filipino culture. Today, Jessica is an essential part of the Kara Tours team, using her expertise to manage administrative tasks and lead key marketing initiatives.

Fluent in English, Spanish, and Filipino, she helps ensure clear and efficient communication with both our team and our clients.
Jessica is also the founder of our branch in Switzerland. After working alongside Jennifer in the Spain office, the sisters decided to expand Kara Tours and serve Filipinos living in Switzerland, offering the same dedication, professionalism, and personalized service that have made Kara Tours a trusted name in travel.
DESIREE PUNCION
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Optimistic and adaptable, Des holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Filamer Christian College and has completed education units at Colegio de la Purisima Concepción in Capiz, Philippines. A consistent academic awardee and board passer in both fields, she has gained experience as a nurse, customer care specialist, humanitarian encoder, and English teacher for Korean and Vietnamese students.

Fluent in English and Filipino, with basic Spanish, Des plays a key role at Kara Tours by monitoring client departures and ensuring all necessary travel documents are prepared in advance—supporting our commitment to smooth, worry-free travel for every client.
