Travel requirements

​FOREIGN NATIONALS

​

Spanish nationals can travel to South Korea for tourism or short-term visits without a visa for up to 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program, but they must meet the following requirements:

​

  • Passport: A valid Spanish passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of entry.

  • K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization): Spanish nationals must apply for a K-ETA online before traveling.

    • This is required for visa-free travel and should be applied for at least 72 hours before your flight.

    • You’ll need:

      • A valid passport.

      • A recent photo.

      • Payment for the K-ETA processing fee (about 10,000 KRW, ~€7).

  • Return or Onward Ticket: Proof of a return flight or onward travel to another destination.

  • Travel Itinerary: Details of your stay in South Korea, including confirmed hotel bookings or an invitation letter if staying with a host.

  • Travel Insurance (Recommended): While not mandatory, it’s highly recommended to have travel insurance covering medical expenses and emergencies.

​FILIPINO NATIONALS

​

  • Passport: A valid Philippine passport with at least six months' validity from the date of entry.

  • Visa: Filipinos generally need a visa to enter South Korea. The type of visa depends on the purpose of your visit, such as tourism, business, or visiting relatives. You usually apply at the South Korean Embassy or Consulate in your area.

  • Visa Application Requirements: These commonly include:

    • Completed visa application form.

    • Passport-sized photos.

    • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of your stay.

    • Confirmed round-trip flight tickets.

    • Accommodation details or invitation letter, depending on your situation.

    • Other specific documents depending on the type of visa you're applying for (e.g., invitation letter from a Korean company for business visas, proof of relationship for family visit visas).

  • Financial Proof: Evidence of financial capability to support your stay in South Korea.

  • Travel Itinerary: A detailed travel plan, including places you intend to visit and accommodations.
