The journey continues to the DMZ, the impermeable buffer zone separating North and South Korea. Rich in history, the demilitarized zone is also a sanctuary for the flora and fauna of the peninsula, as no human has entered for over 70 years.
Upon arrival, explore the "Second Tunnel," secretly excavated by the North Korean army and discovered in 1975 by service guards. It is now completely safe and has small exhibits about the war.

Next, visit the Cheorwon Peace Observatory, which offers a panoramic view of the DMZ and the first villages of North Korea. Inside, there is a small museum and a short film about the war and its impact on Cheorwon.
The tour continues with a visit to the disused Woljeong-ri railway station (Iron Triangle battlefield), the last stop before the fence marking the exit from the DMZ. The morning concludes with an exploration of the headquarters of the Workers' Party of Korea, an old Communist Party stronghold (under renovation until mid-2025).
Then, visit the Baek Ma battle memorial, known as the "White Horse." This site commemorates the remarkable intervention of a French UN battalion during the battle.
